A Community Owned and Volunteer Run Brewery

Good Beers for Good Causes

Located in the heart of S18 and on the banks of the River Drone, we are proud to be UK’s only independent community-owned brewery. We currently have over 800 members, each of whom own a share in the brewery.

Take a look around the site to discover our full range of beers, and if you like what you see, why not consider signing up and joining us as a member?

Where to Drink our Beers

We supply Drone Valley Brewery beers to independent pubs and clubs in Derbyshire, Yorkshire, and Nottinghamshire. Please support the local traders, visit and enjoy unique locations and some of the best real ales.

We also supply our bottled beers to local bottle shops and other trade outlets. Our bottled beers are bottle-conditioned, which means they have their sparkle through secondary fermentation in the bottle. There’s no filtering, no freezing, no injected carbon dioxide – just fresh DVB beer drawn from the cask.

We also sell our draught beers and bottled beers directly from our Brewery Tap, adjacent to the brewery. Our Tap Room is also well-established on the local live music circuit, so there’s regular entertainment for everyone. Click on the Tap Room section in the menu to find out more.

We also sell DVB beers at our pop-up bars that happen at local community events, craft fairs, and produce markets in our area.

And of course, you can always order our beers online. Our range of bottled beer changes all the time, as new brews are added. Look out for seasonal and special brews. As well as bottled beers, we sell ‘beer in a box’ – larger volumes of beer (up to 10 litres) freshly drawn from the cask and packed in airtight bag within a box. Ideal for your home events. Click on the Beer Shop section in the menu to find out more.

DVB: Vegan Friendly Beer (VF)

We are now brewing all our beers as vegan friendly. We’ve identified a high-quality and reliable vegan fining product which we are now using in all new brews where fining is needed. You’ll see this identified on our beer list and on cask and bottle labels.
